Learn the principles and techniques used for flight planning and navigation, including chart reading, radio aids, GPS and route execution.
Understand DGCA regulations, aviation laws, airspace classifications and operational procedures required for safe and compliant flying.
Build knowledge of aerodynamics, aircraft systems, engines and basic aircraft maintenance principles.
Develop practical knowledge of aviation communication, standard phraseology and procedures used when communicating with Air Traffic Control.
Ground school at Aerowis goes beyond textbooks and examination preparation. Through interactive and practical activities, students develop the communication, confidence and professional skills expected in aviation.
Build confidence in answering technical questions clearly and effectively.
Develop communication, teamwork and professional interaction.
Learn to communicate aviation concepts with clarity and confidence.
Gain early exposure to cockpit procedures and flight operations through simulator familiarisation.

Why Aerowis
01
Classes, mock tests, viva practice and hostel support come together at our Calicut campus, so you focus on learning instead of arranging everything separately.
02
Vivas, group discussions and presentations build the confidence and communication airline interviews ask for, so you are well prepared long before selection day arrives.
03
Aerowis maps out what comes next: partner flight schools in India and abroad, then dedicated airline preparation once you hold your Commercial Pilot Licence.
04
Get honest guidance on eligibility, timelines and costs before you pay anything, so you can decide with the full picture and no surprises later.
The DGCA Ground School runs for about six months at the Aerowis campus in Calicut. It covers the theory papers needed for a Commercial Pilot License. Batch dates change through the year, so call or WhatsApp +91 8594 000 730 to find out which batch you can join.
You study five areas: Air Navigation, Air Regulations, Aviation Meteorology, Technical General and RTR (A), the radio telephony paper. Classes follow DGCA guidelines, and in-house notes and mock papers are included so you can practise before sitting the DGCA examinations.
Aerowis lists Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English, a minimum age of 17 and a DGCA Class 2 medical for its CPL pathway. If your subjects or marks do not match exactly, ask the advisory desk before you pay anything, so you know your options in advance.
No. Flight training is a separate track delivered through partner schools. After the papers you can continue with the Aerowis partner network, or if you have already cleared your papers elsewhere, you can join Aerowis for flight training coordination.
Yes. The programme includes guidance on getting your DGCA computer number and on the Class 1 and Class 2 medical examinations. Do the medical early, because a problem found late can stop your flying plan after you have already paid for ground school.
Hostel support is available for outstation students, so you can attend the Calicut campus from other districts or states. Ask the admissions team about current availability, room options and monthly charges when you enquire, as these are not listed on the course page.
Fees are not listed on the course page and are quoted on enquiry. Call or WhatsApp +91 8594 000 730 (Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm) or email info@aerowis.com. Ask for the next batch date, the full fee breakup and exactly what the fee includes.
Yes. Classes follow DGCA guidelines for the theory papers, and in-house notes and mock papers let you practise before the real examinations. You still need to sit and pass the DGCA papers yourself. Ask the team how mock tests are scheduled across the six months.
Yes. Most students do exactly that. Ground school covers theory first, and flying training follows through partner schools. Doing theory first helps you understand what you will practise in the cockpit and lets you confirm your medical before you commit to flying costs.
Yes, provided you meet the Class 12 requirement with Physics, Mathematics and English. Outstation students can use hostel support near the Calicut campus. Confirm batch dates, hostel availability and charges with the admissions team before you plan your travel.
In-house notes and mock papers are part of the Calicut course. Fees stay off this page.
