More Than a Ground School

Aerowis was built to support pilots beyond the classroom.
Professional pilot training involves more than ground studies. It includes flight training, licensing, aircraft-specific qualifications and preparation for airline selection. Aerowis brings these areas together with relevant training, guidance and support at each stage.

Ground Training

Structured DGCA ground training in Calicut, building the theoretical foundation for professional pilot training.

Flight Training

Commercial and private pilot training through associated flight-training pathways in India and selected
international destinations.

Licensing & Conversion

Support with DGCA licensing requirements, foreign licence conversion and related documentation.

Type Rating

Aircraft-specific training pathways for pilots progressing towards commercial aircraft operations.

Airline Preparation

Preparation for airline selection processes for cadet pilot candidates and CPL holders, including aptitude
assessments, group discussions and personal interviews.

Training With the Bigger Picture in Mind

We believe students should understand not only what they are studying today, but also how it connects to what comes next.
Aerowis helps students and parents understand the requirements, pathways and options involved at different stages of pilot training.
Where training is provided through an associated organisation, we remain clear about our role while supporting the student through the relevant process.

What is Aerowis Aviation?

Aerowis is a pilot training institute in Calicut, Kerala that guides students from DGCA ground school to airline preparation. It supports flight-training pathways, licence conversion and type rating along the way. Cadet Pilot Preparation is offered separately for airline cadet programmes. Instead of separate courses, you get one connected pathway with the same team at each stage.

Where is Aerowis located?

Aerowis is at Hi-Lite Business Park, Phase 2, 5th floor, Calicut, Kerala. The office is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. To plan a campus visit or book a counselling call, use the contact details on this page. Share your qualification and the course you are considering, and the team will suggest the right starting point.

Does Aerowis conduct flight training itself?

No. Ground school runs in Calicut, while flight training happens at associated flying organisations in India and overseas. Aerowis stays clear about its role at each stage. The team coordinates the process, including documentation and conversion, but your flying hours take place at the partner school, not in Calicut.

How long is pilot training at Aerowis?

Plan on roughly 18 to 24 months from your first class to a CPL. DGCA ground school in Calicut is a six-month course. CPL flight training then typically takes 12 to 18 months, including at least 200 flight hours. Your own pace, exams and medicals decide the exact timeline.

Does Aerowis guarantee a job after training?

No. Aerowis does not guarantee placement, and no academy honestly can. It does offer airline preparation, including ADAPT, group discussion, interview preparation and personal career guidance. Airlines decide based on your performance, eligibility and their own requirements, so training improves your readiness but cannot promise a seat.

Does Aerowis provide hostel facilities?

Yes. Aerowis offers hostel facilities for students who need accommodation during training. Ask the admissions desk about availability for the next batch and what the hostel includes, before you plan your move to Calicut. Places may vary, so check current options early.
