Course Description
Duration: 45 days
The Type Rating course provides pilots with specialized training to operate specific aircraft models, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and proficiency in handling advanced aircraft systems and procedures.
This certification is crucial for flying commercial jets and other complex aircraft. A Type Rating is an additional certification issued by a regulatory authority (such as DGCA in India) that qualifies a pilot to operate specific aircraft types requiring specialized training beyond the initial license and class ratings. While some aircraft fall under a broader class rating, others mandate a separate Type Rating for each model. After completing a CPL with multi-engine and instrument ratings, pilots become eligible to apply for First Officer positions. However, depending on the requirements of their future employer, they may need to obtain a Type Rating for a specific aircraft. This certification can be pursued either before employment or after securing a job offer, based on airline requirements
